--This is a barrel aged beer. It will be in barrels until mid 2017-- Imperial stout aged on oak barrels and split vanilla beans aged for minimum 6 months.

Scaled down so you can brew your own 5 gallon batch

  • 1oz Cocoa Nibs @ Secondary Aging
  • 5 split and scraped vanilla beans @ Secondary Aging
Yeast
  • White labs WLP099 super high gravity ale
Malt bill
  • 3lbs caramel 90L
  • 1lb American chocolate malt
  • .2lb black patent
  • 3lb liquid dark extract
  • 10lbs Two Row Malt
  • 1lb malto dextrin
  • 2lb brown sugar
  • 2lb oaks flaked
Boil time
  • 60
Hop regimen
  • 1 oz mythos @ 60min
  • 1 oz crystal @ 20min
  • 1 oz crystal @ 5min
